Anne Sorenson is a physical and political theatre artist from Western Australia. She dances Contact Improvisation (CI) and uses Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) to create social change.
Anne has studied, taught, published research and practiced using Theatre of the Oppressed for performance making, community consultation, social change and policy creation in Western Australia for over 20 years.
Anne is an active part of the Perth Contact Improvisation Community and has taught in Perth and overseas.
Anne spent a number of years managing a Theatre of the Oppressed project, with humanitarian entrants in Western Australia, known as the Sharing Stories Youth Theatre Ensemble.
Anne is currently the Artistic Director of Southern Edge Arts in Albany.
